Richard Bruton T.D. Launches the IFI Schools 2016/2017 Programme

Minister for Education, Richard Bruton T.D. launched the Irish Film Institute’s 2016/2017 Schools Programme on Wednesday 21st September.

This year’s schools programme is the most comprehensive to date and has been designed to encompass the full academic year, making it easier for schools and teachers to plan their visits and related materials well in advance. As in previous years, the programme has been designed to align closely with subject curricula and to offer opportunities for students to access a wide range of interesting and exciting cinema.

Head of IFI Education, Alicia McGivern, stated that ‘with this new year-long programme, we know that teachers and schools will find it easier to plan and connect their film-loving students to our educational activities at IFI. A broader spectrum of curricula has been covered and arranged thematically to highlight the relevant content.’
