The Artist (showing at IFI until Jan 26th) and The Descendants (opening at IFI on Jan 27th) were the two big winners last night at the Golden Globes.
The Artist led with 6 nominations and managed to pick up three awards including best musical or comedy and best actor in a musical or comedy for its star, French actor Jean Dujardin.
Alexander Payne’s The Descendants, starring George Clooney, won two Golden Globe trophies, including the top honour of best dramatic movie and another for Clooney as best dramatic actor.
