In a last bid attempt to save a crumbling period mansion from imminent demolition a rag-tag bunch of conservationists, actors, and filmmakers attempt to stage a re-enactment of its storied past. The project, led by mono-maniacal actor/director Lorcan (Barry Ward) supported by the endlessly stoic Anna (Ciara Ivie), threatens to implode with cast and crew over-stretched and under-informed, and Lorcan demanding constant rewrites much to the bewilderment of new recruit, local amateur actor Joe (Dara Devaney). Shot on location at the elegant Georgian manor Enniscoe House in Co Mayo, writer/director Paul Mercier (founder of the Passion Machine theatre company) wrests remarkable performances from his cast to create a highly entertaining satire about conflict, conservation, and consent. Winner of the Best New Irish Feature, Cork International Film Festival 2023 Followed by a Q&A with Paul Mercier hosted by Dr Luke Gibbons.
