‘Facts are horrid things’. So utters Lady Susan (Kate Beckinsale), the conniving widow of Jane Austen’s novella whose plans to secure her financial future are scuppered by the arrival of her daughter, Frederica. Now on the hunt for two husbands, while staying at her in-laws, the indomitable Lady confides only in her American pal, Alicia Johnson (Chloe Sevigny). US director Whit Stilman revels in Austen’s satire and wit, while turning familiar Dublin streets and Russborough House into a wholly convincing and lavish Regency set.

Tickets: €4.25 including regular tea/coffee before the event. Wild Strawberries is our film club for over 55s. If you are lucky enough to look younger please don’t take offence if we ask your age.
