In 1974 a young Frenchman named Philippe Petit broke into the World Trade Centre in New York to commit a highly illegal and audacious act which stunned the world and captured the imagination of many. In cloudy conditions, he stepped off the roof of the South Tower to complete his ambition of wire-walking forty-five metres between the world’s two tallest buildings. At times more heist movie than documentary, this award-winning film tells an inspirational story with an energetic mix of archive footage, photos and interviews. It will have you on the edge of your seat and leave you with a new perspective on the towers.
