As Barack Obama begins his term in the Oval Office, Oliver Stone’s film W. gives us a chance to remember the career of his predecessor, George W. Bush. Stone explores the outgoing 43rd president’s struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and the critical days leading up to the decision to invade Iraq.

W. features some wonderful performances by veteran actors Richard Dreyfuss (Dick Cheney), James Cromwell (George Snr), Ellen Burstyn (as the matriarch Barbara Bush), but it’s Josh Brolin who steals the show as Dubya, one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory.
