Irish Film Institute -THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING

THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING

Director: JAMES MARSH

123 mins, UK, 2014, Drama/Romance.

Given two years to live following the diagnosis of a fatal illness, Stephen Hawking defied all odds and became one of the world’s most successful theoretical physicists. This superbly acted film – adapted from Stephen’s first wife, Jane Hawking’s memoir, Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen – shows the highs and lows of their relationship; from falling in love, to Stephen’s physical deterioration and academic fame, while remaining ever hopeful in the face of adversity.

This film will be introduced by Professor of Neurology, Orla Hardiman, from the Trinity Biomedical Science Institute (TBSI).
