Irish Film Institute -THE GOLD RUSH

THE GOLD RUSH

This silent classic – a favourite of Chaplin’s – offers some of the Tramp’s best-loved scenes, including one of him eating his boot, as well as satire and social commentary. As a romantic idealist and lone gold prospector, he heads out to make his fortune in Alaska’s Klondike where he gets into a lot of tricky situations and falls in love with the beautiful Georgia.
