Irish Film Institute -THE CRITICAL TAKE (AUGUST 2012)

THE CRITICAL TAKE (AUGUST 2012)

The IFI’s monthly film club, The Critical Take, will meet again for discussion, debate and lots of opinion-sharing on Wednesday, August 29th. The three titles we will focus on will be celebrated Irish director Pat Collins’ Silence (screening until August 9th and coinciding with a season of Collins’ previous features and short works), Joshua Marston’s depiction of an Albanian family feud in The Forgiveness of Blood (August 10th – 23rd) and Bart Layton’s intriguing new documentary The Imposter (the opening film of IFI Stranger Than Fiction, Dublin’s Documentary Film Festival on August 16th and also showing at the IFI from August 24th).

Panellists this month will include Director of Dublin Fringe Festival Róise Goan, Dr Ciara Chambers, Lecturer in Film Studies at the University of Ulster and IFI Irish Film Programming Assistant Raelene Casey.

This is a FREE but ticketed event. Please book your seat with the IFI Box Office by emailing boxoffice@irishfilm.ie, calling 01 679 3477 or when visiting.
