Simone, a young Italian, is sent to Dublin to learn English, his parents hoping it will knock some sense into him. In the sprawling suburbs on Dublin’s west side, he stays with the Ferguson family and meets the daughter of the house, a death-obsessed Goth with a passion for crucifixes, leather and industrial noise bands. One evening the unlikely couple steal into the night and embark on a bizarre journey across Ireland, pursued by their respective fathers.
