Irish Film Institute -Simon the Magician

Simon the Magician

Ildik’ Enyedi, who is best known for the excellent My Twentieth Century, has now made an ambitious film set in modern Paris but filled with references to Biblical figures. Struggling to solve a crime, the Paris police call in Simon (Peter Andorai), a sorcerer with supernatural powers. Whilst in Paris, Simon falls in love with Jeanne (Julie Delarme), but he is challenged to a duel by another visionary, Peter. The two sorcerers have to spend three days buried alive.
