Roinn na Gaeltachta Screening

Throughout the 1970s and ’80s, the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs provided financial assistance towards the production of Irish-language films. The Department recently donated a number of prints of these films to the Irish Film Archive. The Archive is honoured that Minister Eamon O Cuiv, TD, will introduce a special screening of a selection of these films on November 20. The programme will include Oilean (1978), Neville Presho’s fascinating look at life on Tory Island, Co Donegal, and An Ghaeilge Bheo (1975), Jim Mulkern’s documentary depicting children’s experience visiting Gaeltacht regions in the mid 1970s.
Deanfaidh an tAire Gnothai Pobail, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta, Eamon O Cuiv TD, teaglaim as na scannain sin a chur i lathair.
