PARIS ’36

Stage manager Pigoli at the Chansonia Parisian music hall is battling against the right-wing owner’s intention to close the place down. 1930s Paris is in upheaval, with a left-wing coalition in power and Nazism gaining strength. Although the beautiful chanteuse, Douce, brings hope and audiences, there are still enough problems to inhibit Pigoli’s dream of keeping the music hall alive. An old-fashioned story with wit, charm, and a terrific song-and-dance finale.
