Since 1998, thousands of New Yorkers have gathered on one night in September to watch the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival. The fourteen best short films (selected from over 700 entries) are showcased on multiple cinema-sized screens in Union Square Park, and on monitors in surrounding restaurants. This year the festival will be screened on the same day at the IFI in Dublin, where audiences will be given the opportunity to vote for the best short film. Tickets for this free event will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
