GHOSTWOOD

Director: Justin O'Brien

IRELAND • 2006 • COLOUR • DOLBY STEREO • 85 MIN

Horrorthon is always proud to present a new Irish horror movie and Ghostwood marks a confident feature directorial debut by Justin O’Brien, whose acclaimed short film Wrong Number bagged a number of awards a few seasons back. The film is an atmospheric tale of the unexpected, starring Alan Devine as a New York-based Irish psychologist who’s investigating the mysterious disappearance of his father — a search that brings him to a sleepy Irish village hiding a big secret. What is it? We’re not telling you. Ghostwood also features the redoubtable Patrick (Lawnmower Man 2) Bergin in a scene-stealing, scenery-nibbling turn as a rather jittery priest. Horrorthon firmly believes that, given the right roles, Bergin could be our very own Vincent Price.
