The Irish Schools Video Competition is run each April as part of the Fresh Film Festival in Limerick. In 7 years it has grown to become a central element in developing interest in filmmaking amongst young people. Many of the winners have gone on to media and film school following their initial ventures at the Festival. This year, there is also a Junior Fresh section for 7 – 12 year olds. Our annual showcase at the Irish Film Institute will provide an opportunity to view a selection of entries and winners from previous years. Following the screenings, some of the filmmakers will be present to discuss their projects. Admission to this event is free but booking is essential through
