FRANCO-IRISH LITERARY EVENT: THOSE WHO REMAIN

Director: ANNE LE NY

93 minutes, France, 2007, Colour, 35mm

The film will be introduced by Philippe Milloux, Director of the Alliance Française.

To mark the occasion of the 14th Franco-Irish Literary Festival (April 19th – 21st), the IFI, in partnership with the Alliance Française and the French Embassy, is delighted to present a free screening of Anne Le Ny’s sensitive portrayal of grief and attraction, Ceux qui restent. In keeping with this year’s festival theme – Love and Hurt – the film explores the relationship that develops between Bertrand and Lorraine, played by the deservedly acclaimed Vincent Lindon and Emmanuelle Devos, who meet in hospital while visiting their respective partners both of whom are seriously ill.

Simply book your FREE seat by contacting the IFI Box Office on 01 679 3477 or emailing boxoffice@irishfilm.ie (given that events can sell out, please note that your emailed booking requests must be confirmed by reply email from the Box Office in order to be considered valid).
