EXPERIMENTAL FILM CLUB

Director: Julius Ziz

THE WINDOW, THE WOLF, AND THE PIG WAS BORN

Our next screening in collaboration with the Experimental Film Club is a sequence of three films by Lithuanian filmmaker Julius Ziz, chosen by Alan Lambert. This selection gives a full overview of Ziz’s techniques and styles whilst also working like the first, second and third acts of a larger work, or as a trilogy. The sequence is The Window, The Wolf and And the Pig was Born. In this selection of films there is a progression from the slightly experimental, through the narrative, to the very experimental.

Julius Ziz was born in Lithuania in 1970 and studied film at the Tbilisi Film Academy in Georgia from 1988 to 1992. He has work in many international collections and now lives in County Clare, Ireland.
