The annual Bealtaine film tour in association with Access Cinema kicks off at the IFI. This year’s title stars Peter O’Toole as a cantankerous father to Henslow (Jeremy Northam) whose regular meetings are an endurance until one evening Henslow invites an unusual clergyman to dinner. With help from his favourite tipple, Dean Spanley (Sam Neill) enthralls them with tales of his former life as a dog. Great performances all round in this gentle, amusing tale of Edwardian spiritualism. Free screening in conjunction with Access Cinema and Active 55.
