We celebrate Culture Night 2011 with a FREE screening of silent films from the recently restored O’Kalem Collection (1910 – 1915) on September 23rd at 19.00. This collection of the earliest surviving fiction films shot in Ireland is preserved in the IFI Irish Film Archive and this programme, presented with music from pianist Morgan Cooke, includes The Lad from Old Ireland (1910) and For Ireland’s Sake (1914).
