Country centres on the lives of three men; Frank Murphy and his sons, Con and Jack. When Frank’s sister-in-law returns from London she brings with her an emotional warmth that boys and Frank had forgotten existed. Their evolving relationships take place against the background of fierce tensions between the locals and a group of Travellers.
