ARCHIVE AT LUNCHTIME: PROGRAMME 1 (FREE EVENT- APRIL 2014)

Join us for FREE lunchtime screenings of films from the IFI Irish Film Archive.

This year’s One City One Book choice – If Ever You Go: A Map of Dublin in Poetry and Song inspires a richly varied programme of films about Dublin poets and poetry in our two strands, Archive at Lunchtime and From the Vaults.

PROGRAMME 1:

Meet The Quare Fella

Brendan Behan in fine, relaxed form is interviewed by Eamon Andrews in this illuminating short film directed by Fred O’Donovan in Ardmore Studios in 1960. Behan discusses many aspects of his life – his writing, his fame, his religious beliefs, his political beliefs, his time in borstal and his family.
