NOVELIST AND SCREENWRITER IRVINE WELSH WILL BE AT THE IFI TO NOMINATE AND INTRODUCE HIS FAVOURITE FILMAND ANSWERING QUESTIONS ON IT AFTERWARDSON SUNDAY 19TH MARCH AT 4PM. IRVINE WELSH’S NOVELS INCLUDE, TRAINSPOTTING, The Acid House, Filth, Glue and Porno (a sequel to Trainspotting). He has also made forays into pop music: a UK hit single with Primal Scream and a disco album with DJ Kris Needs. He is planning to direct the film The Man Who Walks when shooting finishes on his latest screenplay Meat Trade which is currently shooting in Scotland.
