This new documentary by Sébastien Lifshitz (The Invisibles; Little Girl; Bambi) follows best friends Emma and Anaïs over a five-year period from the time they start secondary school. Both a personal story and a collective history, it chronicles the two girls’ friendship and the transformative teenage years where radical change and first times punctuate daily life, while investigating the social and cultural pressures on France’s young. This unique and fascinating documentary is a gift, getting right to the heart of Emma and Anaïs’s lives.
