In Peter Timar’s bizarre and engaging time-travel comedy, a present-day Hungarian is transported back to the day of his birth, 23 November, 1953, when Hungary defeated England in an away football match. ‘Tutti’ (‘Sure Thing’) is convinced he is dreaming and causes chaos throughout the day by predicting the exact timing of each goal. People begin to doubt the veracity of the radio broadcast to which they are listening, and matters escalate to the point where the whole episode seemingly contributes to the 1956 uprising.
