Young female offender, Jamie, has fairly bleak prospects but a remarkable singing voice. Her social worker Kate, (Shirley Henderson), persuades her to join the local choir, where she blossoms, inspired by her soul singing heroes. However, leaving behind her old life is not so easy and her struggle takes an unexpected turn; Compassion and brilliant performances in a gripping drama of real conviction.
