Careers in Film Day is an innovative one-day programme of events aimed at second-level students who are interested in working as part of the film industry. The day will offer insights into the diverse range of film professions, while academic staff and students from college courses will be on hand to offer guidance and advice.
A number of the Irish film industry’s most talented artists will attend on the day including Costume Designer Joan Bergin (Vikings, The Tudors), Darragh O’Connell of Brown Bag Films (Give Up Yer Aul Sins, Doc McStuffins), documentary filmmaker Ken Wardrop (His & Hers), directors Rob Burke and Ronan Burke (Damo and Ivor: The Movie), cinematographer Kate McCullough (The Farthest, Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope), VFX artist Ciaran Crowley (The Dark Knight, Inception), production designer Tom Conroy (Vikings, The Tudors), casting agent Louise Kiely (Frank, What Richard Did), animation studio Pink Kong, sound designer Steve Fanagan (Room, Game of Thrones) and many more.
