IFI DOCFEST: RADHARC RESTORED A CASE STUDY IN DIGITAL PRESERVATION

This event took place on Thursday 24th  September 2015.

This panel will present the results of the first phase of the Radharc Archive Project, which has restored and digitally preserved 15 from a series of  over 400 documentaries made by Radharc between 1962 and 1996. The project – a collaboration between the Radharc Trust, IFI Irish Film Archive, RTÉ and Screen Scene – is supported by the BAI Archiving Scheme. This presentation will include contributions from the Radharc team on the history of the collection; from archive and technical personnel on the restoration process; and from the BAI on the aims of the BAI Archiving Scheme.
