Famed actor, and director of the much-loved The Railway Children, turned to this ghostly tale for his third feature. Jamie and Lucy are two London children who move to the country with their mother, when she’s offered the job of caretaker by mysterious old solicitor, Mr Blunden.
Befriending the children, he tells them the house is haunted and with his help, the pair travel 100 years back in time and meet two ghost children. Old style pre-CGI frights and laughs in this rarely seen fantasy.
