Would you like to join a jury of 27 young cinephiles at the Venice Film Festival?

In conjunction with Europa Cinemas IFI Education, would like to send an IFI audience member aged 18-25 to the Venice Film Festival.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a cinephile to participate as a member of the youth “Jury of 27” in Venice.  The lucky winner will spend 10 days, 29th August – 9th September 2012, at the festival watching the Venice Days’ selection and the films in competition for the LUX Prize.  You will have the chance to attend screenings, share your opinions and debate with film industry professionals, critics and filmmakers.

Interested?  Here’s how to apply.

If you are aged 18 – 25 and have good written and spoken English, email us in the Education department of the IFI venicedays@irishfilm.ie with the following:

  1.  your CV,
  2. a short statement (10 lines max.) outlining the reasons why you should be selected,
  3. a description of 3 scenes each from 3 films (i.e a total of nine scenes) you have watched recently(5 sentences max. per scene)
